Seating in lounge area was insufficient for four people in a two bedroom unit
It is a good affordable hotel for families. It is good to be able to find a hotel with two bedroom apartments. The view over Albert Park and the City was really nice. The location is good, being able to walk to a good slection of restaurants, cafes and shops also on Fitzroy Street and of course nearby Acland Street.
Some areas of our room were not that clean, bathroom, drawers for example. I didn't like that there were quite a few things on offer to buy in the room. This was quite confusing for the children as they weren't sure what was already ours and what may be something the hotel were trying to sell us at over priced prices.
it's location and the suite itself-roomy
there needs to extra blankets provided in the bedrooms as the single duvet was insufficient. guests should not pay for poarking their car in the appartment carpark -this should be automatically provided at no extra cost.
Medina is in the perfect location for quick access to the CBD as well as local st kilda shops & resturants. Great views across the city.
The cleanliness of our apartment left a lot to be desired, we had unchanged sheets from the previous guests.
It was close to public transport and the facility we needed for the weekend which was MSAC.
It was a little noisy with street noise, so perhaps more sound proof windows would be better, but it didnt stop me from sleeping as I was exhausted!
Our stay at the medina was very good although we loved our room we were not told that a huge building was happening right next door to our room. The noise in the morning woke us so no sleepins. Also our room number was on the third floor and had to use 2 lifts from the ground floor to get to our room. We found that to be very inconvenient and time consuming. We loved the studio apartment itself but not right near the construction site. I think we could hav been told and given an option of another room. Thank you Vicki
Great location. Close to public transport (trams) and StKilda Beach. Bathroom with separate shower and bath is great. Self contained allows cooking of meals.
Lounge / dinning / kitchen area next to road, so a bit loud of an evening. But fine in the bedrooms.
The location was fantastic, it was very close to everything, a short scoot down to the esplanade and very close to Prahran and the city.
The bedroom cupboards and pantry were very dusty and the shelving needed to be dusted before we used them. There were very few plates/bowls we had to ask for an extra bowl, therefore couldn't see the need for a dishwasher.
The views over the city were beautiful and the location was great. The size of the apartment was great for 2 adults and 2 children. The reception staff were very helpful with transport information.
The kitchen was poorly stocked with cooking utensils eg: tongs, for a self contained apartment. The apartment floor was not very well cleaned from the previous guests, there was substantial urine spots on the floor around the toilet. Our dryer didn't work but we were able to use the downstairs guest laundry.
Ease of access to attend our activities. Accommodation was first class and the rooms of a high standard.
Room 71 was a little stuffy with the air off on very hot days. The middle court meant no through sea breeze in the room. The freezer in the fridge didn.t work properly and no -one informed us of the construction work which began at 7.30 am on weekdays, with a loud radio screaming on the last day.Restricted secure parking created anxiety.
Comfortable and cost wise good for a group
Our room (10) was a 2 bedroom with a comfortable longe and kitchen area, great views over Albert Park and a comfortable walk to the many wonderful restaraunts and cafes of St Kilda, Room was clean on arrival, beds were comfortable, will happily stay here again.
The location was great, the service from front of house staff was atentive. Thetroom was nice and big. The bed was nice and comfy. The big sliding door meant that you could get fresh air in the room easily.
No one told me that there was a constrution site next door. They put us in a room uop the back when there was clearly other room availiable. They gave us a smoking room eeven though we asked for non smoking. The sink in our room was blocked and would back up. You could hear people talking in the rooms beside us so privacy was a problem. The claebners did a perfunctry job, making the bed and empting the bins but not much else. Getting to the rooms at the back of the hotel needed 2 elevator trips making for a slow process.
Friendly staff. Ease of getting to/from city via trams/train.
Had a rental car. Very tight getting in and out of carpark. Also not overly happy about having to pay for car park.
